Frontal Fog

The cloud associated with a warm or occluded front sometimes continues along the front to the ground, creating fog.

Frontal fog also forms when heavy rain along the front adds moisture to the cold, stable air below, increasing humidity and raising the dew point up to the current temperature.

Frontal fog is most likely to be found in advance of a warm or occluded front
